TE MANA O TE VAKA

September 2022 to October 2023

Te Mana o te Vaka is a project made in partnership between Cook Islands Voyaging Society and

Gallery Tavioni and Vananga, funded by Marine Resources from the University of the South Pacific. 
The projects purpose is to revitalise and perpetuate traditional indigenous Cook Islands knowledge, through vaka culture. Tavioni Vananga will host the vaka carving and construction phase from September to October 2023.
